Student Life

in the shenandoah valley.

MBU Loves the Good Things in Life

Food, friends, times, vibes … We revel in the good stuff at MBU. Sip your morning cup of coffee at our on-campus full-service Starbucks. Grab a pal and head to a study session in our cozy library nooks. Take a jog around campus and enjoy the plunge down the MBU hill (and maybe even the trip back up again). Your MBU home away from home gives you lots of ways to soak up the fun.

Harness the Adventure

Located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Mary Baldwin University is a place for the movers and the shakers, the doers and the makers. Shenandoah National Park is just 16 miles away from campus, so you can finish class jump in the car, and hit the trail. Make it up, and then make it count.

Queen City Vibe

Your college town is brimming with personality. The Queen City, as Staunton is nicknamed, is sophisticated and laid back, energized and historic, beautiful and welcoming. Live music, coffee shops, restaurants, and a farmer’s market are all steps away from campus. Plus, Staunton is home to the world’s only re-creation of Shakespeare’s Blackfriars Playhouse and President Woodrow Wilson’s birthplace and library.

Congratulations to our student filmmaker!

Honored to have one of our very own students selected as a finalist for the College Film Awards - one of only 7 in VA. She will be presenting her film "Delicacy" at this Saturday's festival! #MBUfamily
