Job Functions
- Advise and counsel prospective and current students and their families
- Record and process financial aid documents
- Award financial aid for all programs
- Collaborate with McCree Center for student employee hiring and managing of federal work study funds
- Provide Federal Work Study data for the FISAP
- Serve as the School Certifying Official for Veterans Affairs
- Back up Director of Financial aid on all processes when the Director is unavailable, including professional judgement and communication with the Department of Education
- Send follow up communication to prospective students
- Attend visit days (virtual and on campus)
- Assist with FAFSA nights and support of local high schools
- Supervise financial aid office student employees
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and experience in a financial aid setting required. Three plus years of financial aid preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task. Attention to detail. Some weekend and evening hours will be required. Ability to work in a team setting and collaborate with other offices. Thorough understanding of state and federal financial aid programs and regulations. Experience with financial aid software and integration with other systems. Must have Microsoft Office skills.
