Full-Time Didactic Nursing Faculty (Assistant/Associate)

Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences at Mary Baldwin University invites applications for a Full-time Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing beginning in January 2025.

This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position in the Graduate Nurse Program for the School of Nursing in the Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences. This position is responsible for teaching, scholarship, and service to meet the didactic, research and/or clinical needs of the MSN and DNP Nursing tracks. Teaching responsibilities include content within the discipline or discipline areas in which the faculty has specific education, training, certification and/or contemporary expertise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

In collaboration with Nursing administration, faculty, staff, the successful candidate will:

  1. Maintain a teaching and advising load in an area of expertise as appropriate to the professional’s areas of content expertise.
  2. Ensure quality student-centered learning experiences during the program.
  3. Be responsible for teaching, advising, and evaluating students on a full-time basis
  4. Evaluate overall student performance.
  5. Ensure that the educational environment demonstrates characteristics of current and future expectations and professional behavior, while remaining current on trends and policy related to graduate nursing.
  6. Maintain compliance with accreditation standards.
