Please join us in the Spencer Center this Monday, May 7 from 12-1 pm for a talk by our guest artists from Colombia, “the Chicas.”

Dina, Verenice and Rosa come to campus annually to work with MBU students in Claudia Bernardi’s Permeable Borders course, co-taught this year by Dr. Rod Owen. This is an opportunity to hear about the Chicas’ ongoing projects in Colombia in mural-making and community healing. The mural below is an example of their work, painted by women survivors of sexual violence in Tierra Alta, in the state of Cordoba, Colombia.
