AWCC Soccer Championships at Mary Baldwin

The 1999 Atlantic Women’s Colleges Conference (AWCC) Soccer Championship playoffs will take place at Mary Baldwin University on Saturday, October 30 and Sunday, October 31.

Inc addition to Mary Baldwin, the AWCC is comprised of five other colleges: College of Notre Dame, Chatham College, Hood College, Trinity College, and Wells College.

The 9:00 a.m. Saturday matches will pin third-ranked Mary Baldwin against Trinity College (ranked 6th) at Mary Baldwin’s soccer field and Wells College (4th) against Hood College (5th) at Stuart Hall’s soccer field.

At 3:00 p.m., the winner of the Mary Baldwin/Trinity game will face Chatham College (ranked 2nd) at Stuart Hall’s soccer field; and the winner of Wells/Hood will meet College of Notre Dame (1st) at Mary Baldwin’s soccer field.

On Sunday there will be two games held at Mary Baldwin’s soccer field. At 11:00 a.m. there will be a consolation match against the two defeated teams from Saturday afternoon. The AWCC conference championships will then conclude at 2:00 p.m. with the final game between the two winners of Saturday afternoon’s matches.
