Mary Baldwin Theatre Presents Peer Gynt

Mary Baldwin University Theatre continues their 2000-2001 season with Peer Gynt, By Henrik Ibsen. Mary Baldwin’s Professor of English, Frank Southerington, who translated the classic from the Norwegian for the American stage, is the director.

Performances will be held in the Fletcher Collins Theatre in Deming Hall on Wednesday, November 15 through Sunday, November 19. Wednesday through Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m., and the Sunday matinee performance begins at 2 p.m.

Peer Gynt is the story of Peer’s self-discovery journey through a fantasy world including trolls, dancing women, lunatics, and other strangers. Ibsen’s play has thrilled theatergoers for generations.
