Candlelight March for Peace and Justice

Marking Martin Luther King Day, the 11th annual Candlelight March for Peace and Justice will be Monday, January 21, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Frederick Street, Staunton. The public is invited to participate.

The event is sponsored by the Staunton chapter of the NAACP, Mary Baldwin University’s Office of African-American Affairs and Multicultural Understanding, and the Mary Baldwin University Department of Philosophy and Religion.

The march will be followed by a service at First Presbyterian Church at 7:30 p.m. The service will feature several speakers and musical performances by the Al Hamilton Mass Choir and Mary Baldwin’s Anointed Voices of Praise.

The snow date is Monday, January 28.
