Elegba Folklore Society to visit Mary Baldwin

The Elegba Folklore Society, a storytelling troupe from Richmond, Virginia, will perform a multi-faceted program entitled African Traditions in Virginia at Mary Baldwin University on February 28 at 8 p.m. in Francis Auditorium. The Elegba Folklore Society is commonly referred to as the Cultural Ambassadors of Richmond and specializes in West African traditions. Through storytelling, singing, and dancing, the program explores the effect that Africans have had on the growth and development of Virginia. This event is sponsored by Mary Baldwin’s Black Student Alliance and is free and open to the public.
