Promotions and New Faces in the Mary Baldwin University Business Office

Jane Pietrowski, vice president for business and finance, has announced the reorganization of the Business Office at Mary Baldwin University, resulting in four promotions and the hiring of a new staff member.

David Mowen will be associate vice president of business and finance, overseeing computer and information systems in addition to accounting operations and reporting, human resources, and payroll and benefits. To financial responsibilities that include cash and debt management and endowment accounting he will add support for the budgeting and forecasting models.

Patty Davis will become the director of financial operations, a new position at Mary Baldwin. She will assume greater responsibility for accounting and financial operations, including general ledger control, revenue assurance, and special projects.

Michelle Irvine has been promoted to director of human resources and personnel accounting. She will assume a larger role in the overall design, implementation, and management of human resources, and certain accounting, and risk management/insurance functions.

Linda Fretwell has been promoted to manager of revenue assurance, responsible for the billing and collections cycle. She will focus on process improvements and measurements to accelerate the flow of cash to the college and minimize debts.

Amy Collins has joined the Business Office as senior accountant. A certified public accountant, she earned a B.S. in accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University. She will concentrate on general ledger accounting functions, accounting compliance, and process involvement.
