Portraits in Tudor England: What They Say About Gender

Dr. Christopher M. S. Johns, professor of art at the University of Virginia, will give a free public lecture and slide presentation on gender issues and Tudor portraits Wednesday, November 6, at 7 p.m. in Francis Auditorium in the Pearce Science Center at Coalter and Frederick streets, Staunton. The talk is sponsored by Mary Baldwin’s Master of Fine Arts/Master of Letters in Shakespeare and Renaissance Literature in Performance.
