Gerald Donato Art Exhibition at Mary Baldwin University

An exhibition of recent paintings and drawings by Gerald Donato will be on view in Hunt Gallery in the Lyda B. Hunt Dining Hall at Mary Baldwin University March 10-28. A public reception for the artist will be March 27 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

A professor in the Painting and Printmaking Department in the School of the Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University, Donato has received awards from the National Endowment for the Arts as well as a Virginia Museum of Fine Arts professional fellowship. He has had solo exhibitions at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, 1708 Gallery, Reynolds Gallery, and the University of Texas in San Antonio. Donato earned a master of fine arts degree at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Hunt Gallery is dedicated to the exhibition of contemporary work in all media by regionally and nationally recognized artists. The gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the academic year.
