First Carpenter Lecture on Healthcare Administration

Pierre Duplessis, M.D., secretary general and chief executive officer of the Canadian Red Cross Society, will talk March 26 about "September 11 and its Aftermath — A Red Cross Response. " The free, public lecture will be at 7 p.m. in Mary Baldwin’s Lyda B. Hunt Dining Hall Art Gallery. A reception will follow.

Dr. Duplessis has a medical degree from the University of Montreal, a master of public health from Harvard, and a specialty in community health from Laval University. He has worked for hospitals, community health centers, a regional board of health, the Ministry of Health and Social Services of the Province of Quebec, and Quebec’s College of Physicians.
