Judith Payne Grey Named Major Gifts Officer

The Institutional Advancement Office of Mary Baldwin University announces the addition of Judith Payne Grey as a major gifts officer specializing in corporate and foundation fundraising.

Grey is a graduate of Mary Baldwin University and received an MBA with emphasis on marketing and urban Affairs from the Columbia University School of Business. She also holds a certificate in financial planning. Grey has had a noteworthy career in the marketing of consumer products. While at Warner Lambert and American Cyanamid, she directed marketing of well-known consumer products, including Trident Gum and Pine Sol. Grey’s most recent position was with Haarmann & Reimer, a division of Bayer Corp., where she was in creative development for fragranced products.

Grey is a native of Norfolk, Virginia, and lives in Upper Montclair, New Jersey. She has been active in her community. She is a member of the Presbyterian Church of Upper Montclair, where she has been an elder, she is also the president of the board of the Montclair Counseling Center and a past member of the Junior League of New York.

While pursuing her professional goals and raising her son, John, Grey has continued her ties with Mary Baldwin University. She has served on both the Advisory Board of Visitors and the Alumnae/i Board. Grey says, “Mary Baldwin University gave me a wonderful education and lasting friendships, and I look forward to returning to help continue to build on what has made this college great.”
