A festival of student work from the Mary Baldwin University program in Shakespeare will be held on November 14 and 15 at 6 p.m. at the Blackfriars Playhouse in downtown Staunton.
Students will present the performance components of their degree projects for either the Master of Letters or the Master of Fine Arts. These include performances of scenes and/or songs from Shakespeare and his contemporaries, stage combat performance, character explorations, audience discussion, and much more. These performances are produced in conjunction with the students’ research and written theses and feature performers both from the MLitt/MFA program and from Shenandoah Shakespeare.
These evenings of performance are free, open to the public, and will include a reception following each night’s presentations. For further information contact Michelle Whytal at 887-7237 or e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org .
