Voicemail. If Commencement is moved, a message will be sent to all faculty, staff, and students with active Mary Baldwin voicemail accounts. In situations when conditions are questionable and the location is unchanged, a voicemail will usually be sent, too. Voicemail can be accessed from off campus by dialing 887-7200, then follow the prompts for “if you have a mailbox in this system.”

Media. Several local radio and television stations will be notified if Commencement is moved. In Staunton and the surrounding area television stations WHSV Channel 3 and WVIR Channel 29, and radio channels 94.3 FM/ 1240 AM, 90.7 FM, and 95.5 FM are some of the media that will carry Mary Baldwin news.

Internet. As a new feature, information will be posted on the Mary Baldwin home page in case of inclement weather. Check the site Sunday morning for an update. In addition, an e-mail will be sent to all faculty, staff, and students with active Mary Baldwin e-mail accounts. Your account can be viewed from off campus at mail.marybaldwin.edu.

Phone. If you are not able to obtain the information you need through any other channel, the College switchboard can be contacted for Commencement information. This method should be used as a last resort as the phone lines become tied up on a bad weather day.
