Jasmine Carter

Jasmine Carter is associate vice president of alumni engagement at Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, VA. She joined the MBU advancement team in October 2022.
Jasmine received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington and her MBA from the University of North Texas. She began her career in 2005 at UT Arlington as the Assistant Director of Alumni and Student Programs. From there, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 2010, where she held various alumni engagement roles with responsibility for student engagement and chapter organization.


Joining the University of Texas at Dallas, Jindal School of Management in 2017 as Director of Alumni Engagement, she branded Jindal School alumni engagement and created a three-year strategic plan to develop and grow alumni engagement nationally and abroad.
Jasmine joined Southern Methodist University, in February 2018. She held the role of Director of Alumni Relations and Engagement until May 2019, and was responsible for alumni board engagement, 136 annual programs, volunteer initiatives, and alumni communications.


Carter joined the advancement team at Texas Woman’s University, as its inaugural Executive Director of Alumni Engagement in May 2019. During her three years at TWU, she grew the department from eight annual events to 75. She doubled staff and increased the budget by 50%. Jasmine’s leadership during the COVID pandemic led to TWU receiving several CASE awards in 2021 which include District 4 Accolades Gold Winner – Alumni Engagement on a Shoestring Budget, Silver Winner – Alumni Relations Pivot (COVID19), and Bronze Winner – Alumni Relations Improvement.
