Housing for Graduate Students
Housing Form (Residential & Commuters Only)
All students, including commuters, are required to fill out the housing form. To access the form, please log into your MyMBU account and navigate to the Housing Portal. If you’re using your mobile phone, be sure to select the drop-down menu to find your housing form.
For any assistance, reach out to The Office of Residence Life and Housing at reslife@marybaldwin.edu or 540-887-7329.
Intent to Pay Form
The Intent to Pay form is a commitment to cover any costs not covered by grants, scholarships, or loans. Both the student and a parent or guardian need to sign this form. To complete it, download and print the form. After signing it, upload the completed form.
If you have any questions, contact the Student Accounts Office at lfretwell@marybaldwin.edu or 540-887-7364.
Health Forms
Download the health forms. You’ll need a printer and your medical information for this. It’s important to note that student-athletes and VWIL cadets must have a current physical examination and should bring the health form to their doctor’s appointment for completion. Once your forms are filled out, save them as PDF files and upload them to Sentry MD, our secure records vendor that manages health records.
If you need assistance, reach out to Sentry MD representatives at mbu@SentryMD.com.
Student Privacy (FERPA) Form
The FERPA form (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) allows you to designate another person to access your academic records while you’re at Mary Baldwin. To complete this form, follow the instructions provided through MyMBU.
For additional help, see the Office of the Registrar.
Now it’s time to enroll in your desired courses. Please check your MBU email for communication from your advisor. Your advisor will provide next steps and assist you with registering for classes for the first time. Of course, you’re welcome to set up a meeting with your advisor every semester to register for courses if you so choose.
Once the semester begins, you’ll need to reach out to your advisor to add or drop courses. You can drop a course during the first week without any charges, but after that point, there may be fees involved.
Canvas for online courses
If you’re taking online courses or are enrolled in an online program, you will need to create a Canvas account. Canvas is a user-friendly and intuitive learning management system. Please note that online courses typically become accessible on the first day of classes.
If you don’t see your courses listed before the semester begins, there’s no need to worry. Rest assured that you will gain access to your course materials and assignments when the semester officially starts.
