Mary Baldwin University employs campus safety officers who are responsible for ensuring safety and maintaining the peaceful welfare of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. All MBU campus safety officers are trained in first aid, CPR, and AED and are certified through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. 

Campus Safety is available 24/7 to answer telephone calls. The Mary Baldwin Office of Campus Safety provides a walking escort to students, faculty, staff, and visitors around the immediate campus. 

Campus Safety maintains close working relationships with the Staunton Police Department and Augusta County Sheriff’s Department, along with other local emergency service providers.
