The Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences is located in Fishersville, just a few miles from the historic Staunton campus. Murphy Deming programs are focused on interprofessional collaboration and advancing health equity. Students enrolled in our physician assistant, occupational therapy, and physician assistant programs call this state-of-the-art campus their home.
The Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences hosts programs targeted toward interprofessional collaboration, advancing health equity, and meeting the needs of the whole person. Our two schools — health professions and nursing — are designed to empower leaders to make positive systemic changes to our healthcare ecosystems.
Many of our students in Murphy Deming have previous experience in healthcare. A large percentage of our programs are graduate programs. So, the campus has a different energy that still embodies the values and care that Mary Baldwin emphasizes throughout. There’s a buzzing collective sense of purpose we know you will love.
Murphy Deming students, faculty, and staff enjoy a close-knit and supportive community. Students get to know their cohorts well through semesters of graduate courses and labwork, together with special student-centered events, community service, and leadership opportunities. You’ll also forge a close bond with your professors, who can connect you with their strong healthcare networks throughout the region.
Murphy Deming students have easy access to many great neighborhood apartments and living options within walking distance, and students enjoy the independence and flexibility.
