Let’s look at the cost of an MSN at MBU and some of the ways we work with you to make your education affordable for you and your family.
This page covers all MSN tracks:
- Administration & Leadership (A&L)
- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Nurse Educator (NE)

These costs apply to the Fall ’26, Spring ’27, and Summer ’27 semesters.

*The Program Fee attempts to cover required educational and technology resources for students. This fee will reduce the number of resources you are responsible for purchasing out-of-pocket and it can be applied to financial aid costs. For example, the fee covers your electronic textbooks, DynaMed access, and ultrasound tuition.
Indirect Costs
Students should also anticipate additional indirect costs such as books, supplies, travel, recreation, and personal items. These expenses are not billed by MBU but are considered when determining financial aid awards.
Estimates for these expenses are included below but vary from student to student:
| Semesterly Payments | One-Time Payments | |
| Books and supplies | $472 | |
| Application fee (NursingCas) | $70 | |

We understand paying for college can be intimidating. MBU works with students to ensure that relevant coursework, as well as work and life experiences, count toward your degree, further minimizing tuition costs. That’s why US News & World Reports ranked MBU the No. 7 best value school in the south, and one of the top in the U.S. for boosting social mobility.
