Assistant/Associate Professor, RN-BSN Program
Description
Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences at Mary Baldwin University invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the RN-BSN Program during the 2025-2026 academic year.
This position is a full-time, 12-month, benefits eligible, hybrid position, as core faculty in the online RN-BSN nursing program. The candidate must be a registered nurse with at least a Master of Science in Nursing degree, and eligible for licensure in Virginia. The position will have responsibilities for teaching, student advising in the program, working closely with the nursing faculty across programs at MDCHS, and other duties as assigned.
The candidate should be comfortable working in a highly interprofessional, collaborative teaching and learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must have Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
- Be eligible for RN licensure in the State of Virginia
- Minimum 3 years of clinical practice experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Hold a terminal degree, preferably in nursing (DNP, PhD) or are currently enrolled in a doctoral program with a completion date within 3 years.
- Experience with or understanding online educational learning concepts and teaching modalities including use of learning technologies.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to student mentoring and professional role-modeling.
- Familiarity with evidence-based practice, nursing theory, and curriculum development.
- Demonstrated expertise in various Learning Management Systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
