Associate University Registrar
Overview
The Associate University Registrar assists and works under the direction of the University Registrar to lead, analyze, plan, and implement the operations and administrative requirements of the Office of the University Registrar. The Associate University Registrar has daily contact with our students and works closely with our faculty and other staff. The Associate University Registrar assists the University Registrar in promoting the core values of the University and enhancing the overall educational experience through supporting the Office of the University Registrar mission.

Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the office in the absence of the University Registrar
- Work with OIT to research, implement and test new SIS functionalities
- Troubleshoot Jenzabar RE module issues.
- Manage certification process and degree conferral of all graduates
- Serve as either the Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) or a Designated School Official (DSO) for international students. Assist with the creation and monitoring of I-20s for all international students including exchange students as well as oversight of their F-1 status
- Transfer VA (Virginia) Portal project and ongoing maintenance to ensure accurate posting of all courses and data files
- Attend EPC and GEAPC as needed as a representative of the University Registrar’s office
- Help manage Advising Module and J1 Web processes
- Assist the University Registrar to maintain Academic Calendars
- Work with faculty and academic advisors to ensure audit system is up to date and degree trees are working as intended
- Provide oversight of the transfer credit evaluation and posting processes
- Report enrollment, degrees conferred, and student record changes to the National Student Clearinghouse on a timely basis
- Work with Financial Aid to process errors and manage NSLDS dates
- Oversee processes in J1 including but not limited to Rules Based Updates and Y/T/S table
- Assist with quality control and updates to database course catalog
- Assist with data management and governance, ensuring the data integrity of the records maintained by the office
- Provide backup support on routine office tasks such as preparing transcripts, registration needs, course substitutions, classroom reservations, and addressing student/faculty/staff inquiries
These responsibilities are not exhaustive and additional duties can be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Experience in higher education; minimum 3 years experience preferred
- Strong technical skills, with knowledge of database management and data retrieval
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Federal reporting requirements
- Knowledge of Federal Financial Aid regulations
- Ability to work independently, effectively, and collegially with faculty, staff, students, and administrators
- Ability to work outside normally scheduled hours as needed
