Spanish Adjunct Faculty
Description
The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Mary Baldwin University invites applications for an adjunct professor of Spanish to begin January 2026. The department is seeking an individual with a strong commitment to inclusive pedagogies in language teaching as well as enthusiasm for the environment of a small student-centered university. The successful candidate will have expertise in introductory level Spanish language courses.
Primary responsibilities include
- Teaching an in-person 100-level Spanish language course.
Course Description
- SPAN 102: BEGINNING SPANISH II (4 credits) – Designed to teach the student the basics of the Spanish language. The goal of this two-semester beginning-level sequence is to develop basic proficiency in Spanish in the four skills: listening, speaking, writing, and reading.
Qualifications
- MA in Spanish or related discipline required, PhD preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
