Three Tall Women Opens at Fletcher Collins Theatre

Mary Baldwin University Theatre presents Edward Albee’s thought-provoking, Pulitzer-Prize-winning play Three Tall Women. Professor Janna Segal’s direction brings to life Albee’s profound, theatrically compelling portraits of three women at three different stages of life.

In the play, the ninety-one (or is it ninety-two?) year-old A (played by Riley Steiner) sits with her caretaker, B (played by Leslie Chockley), and a young lawyer’s assistant, C (played by Vanessa Ogbuehi). As the three women confront each other, they discover the hard facts of life. In their search for meaning, the audience is drawn deeper into the world of the play and into the complexities of being.

Three Tall Women (with adult themes) runs 7:30 p.m. from February 13 to February 16 and 2 p.m. February 17 at Fletcher Collins Theatre, Deming Fine Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased online or by phone, 540-887-7189, and will also be available at the door. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. Seating is general admission.
