Around the bonfire pit — a gift from the Class of 2013 — students relaxed and chatted eagerly about the year to come.

Hunt Dining Services provided lite snacks and guest disc jockey Lady Syren, from Richmond, provided entertainment for the event and played popular dance music.

Student Government Association President Megan Edwards ’17 attended the event and believes that it is events like the bonfire that leave memories that last a lifetime.

IMG_5048“I cherished my moments at the bonfire with my fellow upperclassmen, as well as with our new found members of the Mary Baldwin class of 2020,” said Edwards. “However, what I enjoyed most was seeing staff present enjoying the event with their families.”

Students also had the opportunity to make their own personalized license plates with their names and the new Mary Baldwin Universities logo. After the bonfire, the students processed to Francis Auditorium for a late night game of bingo.
