MBU Welcomes Students for Virginia Private College Week – 2018

MBU brings out the best in small, private education, connecting students with opportunity as soon as they arrive on campus, so they can pursue research, work with faculty, land an internship, and launch life’s next adventure.

Rising juniors and seniors in high school, together with transfer students, are invited to visit MBU with their families July 23–28, and see it all for themselves during Virginia Private College Week 2018.

“We are so pleased to welcome prospective students and their families to our beautiful campus next week,” said Matthew Munsey, director of admissions. “We’ll showcase MBU’s vibrant community and distinctive strengths, as well as reassure families about the affordability of a private university education.”

A campus tour and information session will be available at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, and at 10 a.m. on Saturday during Private College Week. The MBU admissions team will give an overview of the admissions process, financial aid, and scholarships, and highlight Mary Baldwin’s academics and student life in the Shenandoah Valley. Students who visit three participating colleges during the week receive three application fee waivers, which can be used at any college on the list. Plus they are eligible for a drawing for a $500 Amazon gift card.

Virginia Private College Week is hosted by the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia, and 24 colleges and universities are participating across the state.
