Bringing an estimated 10,000 visitors to downtown Staunton the weekend of Sept. 27–29, the third annual Queen City Mischief and Magic is a home-grown celebration of the wizarding world of Harry Potter. MBU’s participation in the festival included sponsorship of the main stage, cadets from the Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership assisting with parking logistics, lectures at Beauxbatons Academy, and creating Hufflepuff Village with themed activities, merchandise, and food. The event drew between 700 and 1,000 visitors to MBU’s campus.
