Connie Meeks
Connie became a member of the Mary Baldwin University family in July 2023 as a Professional Advisor and Adjunct Faculty for the School of Education. She was a special education teacher for 18 years in Louisa and Campbell Counties, where she taught at the elementary and secondary levels. Additionally, she was a Mentor Coordinator for Louisa County Public Schools for three years, where her focus was supporting new teachers at the middle and high school. Connie received her BS in Psychology from James Madison University, and then attended Lynchburg College to obtain her M.Ed in Special Education. She also holds an endorsement in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia. Connie has a passion for the field of education and those pursuing the calling – after all, she knew she wanted to be a teacher when she was in Kindergarten!
In her free time, Connie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, attending concerts, and anything sports related! She loves the beach, a good snow day, and the seasons in Virginia, especially Fall and Winter!
