Darci Brainich

Darci Brainich brings more than 30 years of professional accounting experience and over 16 years of experience teaching accounting in higher education to Mary Baldwin University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Accounting and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.

Throughout her professional career, Darci has gained extensive experience in accounting and financial operations, including financial and managerial accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, and business operations. Her combination of industry and academic experience allows her to bring practical, real-world perspectives into the classroom and help students understand how accounting concepts are applied in professional settings.

Darci has taught accounting at the college level since 2010 and is passionate about making accounting approachable, relevant, and applicable for students. Her teaching emphasizes not only understanding accounting principles and procedures, but also developing the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to interpret financial information and make informed business decisions.
