Dr. Todd E. Long

Associate Vice President

Dr. Todd E. Long is a seasoned higher education administrator with extensive expertise in student engagement, residence life, Greek Life, student organizations, and student conduct. He currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Student Engagement, Chief Conduct Officer, and Title IX Coordinator at Mary Baldwin University.

While his primary role is as Associate Vice President, Dr. Long also oversees the University’s compliance with federal regulations and other laws related to Title IX, including sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, gender and interpersonal violence, and related issues. He works effectively with diverse constituents, including students, staff, faculty, and members of the external community, to create a campus environment that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion. His efforts foster a culture where students respect differences, take responsibility for their actions, exercise leadership, and feel a strong sense of belonging.

Dr. Long is responsible for overseeing the establishment and training of hearing panels, ensuring the fair adjudication of student code of conduct violations. He supports the University’s adherence to its values, vision, mission, and strategic plan while leading initiatives to enhance student engagement, retention, and well-being.

With over 15 years of leadership experience, Dr. Long has held senior roles at diverse institutions, including The University of Olivet, Terra State Community College, and the Art Institute of Washington. His expansive skill set includes managing student conduct processes, overseeing residence life programs, advising Greek Life and student organizations, and fostering vibrant campus communities through innovative programming and leadership development.

Dr. Long holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education and Organizational Change from Benedictine University, a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University, and is pursuing a Juris Master degree in Legal Risk Management, Contracting, and Compliance at Florida State University. His professional affiliations include NASPA, ACPA, and the NAACP.
