Emily Greene, MPAS PA-C
Emily Greene is from Augusta County and graduated from James Madison University Physician Assistant Program in 2009. She practiced as a full time Urology PA for nine years until she joined the Mary Baldwin PA Program as faculty. Professor Greene continues to practice in Urology one day a week and brings her passion for the kidneys into her teaching. As Point of Care Ultrasound has become more prevalent in clinical practice, Professor Greene has worked with other Faculty to incorporate this skill into the Physical Diagnosis course series and teaches Point of Care Ultrasound protocols in the Clinical Skills and Procedures course. If ultrasound truly is the stethoscope of the 21st century, our MBU PA students will be at the forefront with advanced skills.
Professor Greene completed Faculty Training for The Healer’s Art and co-leads this invaluable course to help guide students in their compassionate professional identity formation and practice of resiliency skills. Though she has participated in Medical Mission trips abroad, her focus is serving the local population of Appalachia. This includes working at the local Mobile Free Clinic and trying to learn Medical Spanish. Professor Greene lives with her husband and dogs in their solar-powered home in Afton. She is an avid gardener and mountain biker, preferring to spend most of her time outside.
