Jane Harding Miller ’76
Jane Harding Miller graduated from Mary Baldwin in 1976 with a BA in History and English and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She came to Mary Baldwin at the age of 16 as a National Merit Scholarship Recipient. She earned her JD from the University of Virginia Law School in 1980 and became a member of the New York State Bar Association. She practiced law prior to becoming an investment banker at several major financial institutions. Jane retired from HSBC Securities, Inc as a managing director of the principal finance group. For many years she was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Jane Miller served on the Alumni Board of Visitors from 1989 – 1991. She became a member of the Board of Trustees in 2004 and served on the Academic Affairs Committee, Business Finance
and Audit Committee, Trusteeship Committee, Buildings and Grounds, the Executive Committee, and was Chair of the Endowment Committee. She also served as Vice Chair of the
Board before becoming the Chair of the Board of Trustees in 2014 until she retired in 2020.
Jane lives in Rochelle, New York with her husband and the family pet. Her daughter, son-in-law, and 2-year-old granddaughter live nearby.
