Megan earned a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Radford University Carilion with a focus in leadership. Her doctoral capstone explored the role of occupational therapy in primary care with an emphasis on understanding how OT can support health, wellness, and occupational participation within this setting. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science and Psychology from the University of Virginia. Megan has clinical experience in a variety of settings including PACE (program of all-inclusive care for the elderly), acute care, skilled nursing, assisted living, and outpatient. Working with older adults across the healthcare spectrum, she specializes in aging-in-place, dementia care, OT in primary care, and managing complex medical conditions.

As a resident of Charlottesville, Megan serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Piedmont CASA, advocating for youth in the foster care system. Megan is also a yoga instructor and has a passion for alternative, complementary, and integrative health as well as exploring the role of OT within non-Western medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and kayaking with her husband and two children.
