Peter John Ramsey, PhD

Dr. Ramsey is a seasoned research and development executive with extensive leadership experience across the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. He has served as a chief scientific officer, senior R&D leader, and strategic advisor, guiding innovation and organizational transformation for global companies.

In 2024, Dr. Ramsey founded Ramsey Advisory, LLC, a global consultancy specializing in R&D strategy, scientific capability, and organizational effectiveness. Through his firm, he advises private equity, consumer healthcare, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods organizations on strategy development, due diligence, and large-scale transformation initiatives.

Prior to launching his firm, Dr. Ramsey held senior leadership roles at Haleon (formerly part of GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer), where he most recently served as Chief Scientific Officer and Head of Global Innovation and Development. Earlier in his career, he held executive positions leading global research and development and health divisions, overseeing innovation strategy and product development at scale.

Dr. Ramsey holds a PhD in pharmaceutics from University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from Purdue University. He also completed executive education at The Wharton School.

A licensed pharmacist and board-certified medical affairs professional, Dr. Ramsey serves on advisory and nonprofit boards, including the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy and regional workforce and youth development organizations.
