Rachel Metras, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA
Dr. Metras discovered behavior analysis by chance as an undergraduate at the University of Florida and immediately changed her career path to pursue her love of the field. She has since earned a master’s degree in behavior analysis from the University of North Texas and a PhD in behavior analysis from Western New England University. Dr. Metras has worked with autistic youth and adults in clinic, residential, in-home, and day school settings, has taught behavior analytic courses at the collegiate level, and coaches other professionals through conducting practical functional assessment and skill-based treatments process. Dr. Metras specializes in the assessment and treatment of challenging behaviors, a topic on which she has co-authored several articles and book chapters. She believes that folks who have found that extraordinary behaviors are the best way to meet their needs are deserving of extraordinarily compassionate care. If Rachel is not spending her down time with her husband and son, she is probably listening to a truly remarkable number of audiobooks.
