Fall Open House

Join us on Saturday, October 25 for Mary Baldwin University’s Fall Open House! This special event gives prospective students and their families the chance to experience all that MBU has to offer.

Spend the day exploring our scenic hilltop campus in the heart of historic Staunton, Virginia. Tour our classrooms, labs, and residence halls, and get a feel for life on campus. You’ll connect directly with faculty, staff, and current students, who are eager to share what makes MBU such a supportive and inspiring place to learn and grow.

Throughout the day, you’ll learn more about our academic neighborhoods, student life, admissions, and financial aid. You and your family are also invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch in Hunt Dining Hall, where you can relax and continue conversations with the MBU community.

Our Fall Open House is the perfect way to picture yourself as part of the Fighting Squirrel family and to see how Mary Baldwin is made for you.

This event is open to all students considering MBU for Spring or Fall, 2026, 2027 or 2028.

VA Women’s Institute for Leadership (VWIL) and ROTC Overnight Visit

Friday, November 7 @ 12pm – Saturday, November 8 @ 1 PM
Main Campus, Staunton

Join us on November 7th and 8th for a fun and interactive overnight experience at Mary Baldwin University designed for students interested in both military and civilian career paths. During this special weekend, you’ll discover what makes MBU home to the Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership (VWIL) — the nation’s only all-female cadet corps — and learn about exciting opportunities through our Army ROTC program and MBU Band.

Prospective students will stay overnight with current cadets, giving them an authentic look at life in the corps. You’ll participate in activities alongside VWIL cadets and ROTC students, tour campus, and connect with faculty and staff who support leadership development at every level. Along the way, you’ll also get to meet fellow prospective students who share your interest in service, leadership, and teamwork.

This immersive visit is the best way to experience how MBU combines strong academics with leadership training, military traditions, and a vibrant community where you can pursue a wide range of career goals.

This event is open to all students considering MBU and the VWIL or ROTC program for Spring or Fall, 2026, 2027 or 2028.
