Adjunct in Studio Art

ART 111: Drawing I

Mary Baldwin University invites applications for an adjunct professor to teach Drawing I beginning August 24, 2026. The department is seeking an individual with a strong commitment to inclusive pedagogies as well as enthusiasm for the environment of a small student-centered university. The successful candidate will be able to teach a foundational drawing course in which students develop perceptual skills, compositional awareness, and expressive mark-making through work in a variety of media. The course welcomes students at all experience levels, from those with no prior art background to those building on high school training.

Qualifications

MFA or MA, or 18 graduate credit hours in Studio Art, Fine Arts, or a closely related field
Teaching experience is preferred
