Administrative Assistant, Physical Therapy Program
Overview
Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences at Mary Baldwin University invites applications for an Administrative Assistant for the Physical Therapy Program beginning fall semester, 2025 (September).
The Administrative Assistant position for the Physical Therapy Program is an entry level position that supports the needs of the Physical Therapy Department through software management, clerical support, data entry, and event support as needed. Occasional weekend and/or evening hours may be required during Commencement Weekend, Homecoming Weekend or other special events.

Required Qualifications
- Professional presence with excellent interpersonal communication and written skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with regular interruptions.
- Associate’s degree or any combination of education and experience that illustrates the knowledge and skills to fulfill position responsibilities.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Hold a valid Virginia driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with database management tools.
- Previous experience in a professional/office environment

Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences (MDCHS) was opened in 2014, with the intention of addressing health care workforce needs and the complex health issues of the region.
