Award-winning Roanoke-based painter and mixed media artist Susan Egbert will display a new exhibition titled “Monotypes: One of a Kind” at Mary Baldwin’s Hunt Gallery from August 29 to September 23, 2022.
Egbert’s haunting landscape and nature portraits have secured her a position as one of the star city’s top artists and won her acclaim throughout the greater Southeast. She learned the craft from her father — who helped her begin professionally exhibiting work in New York around age 12 — earned a BA in fine art from New York State University at Oswego, and has spent more than 30 years working as a freelance artist.
An artist’s reception will be held in Hunt Gallery on September 5 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and will include a lecture and Q&A session with Egbert.
