Residential undergraduate students, local online students, and graduate students are invited to participate in MBU Career Week (and Career Prep Week) this March!
Top area employers and leaders in multiple fields and industries will be visiting Mary Baldwin’s main campus on Wednesday, March 20 and Thursday, March 21 to present and share their opportunities with students.
During Career Prep week, March 11-15, students can join any or all of these events:
- Personal Branding and LinkedIn Workshop at The Nuthouse: Jumpstart the week on a high note by attending the Personal Branding and LinkedIn Workshop at The Nuthouse, scheduled from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Immediately following, seize the opportunity to have a professional headshot taken on March 11, between 1:15 to 3 p.m. These sessions are pivotal for anyone looking to make a lasting impression in the digital realm.
- Resume Help and Career Fair Tips: On March 12, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., join the McCree Center team at Hunt Dining Hall for a session of resume help and tips for navigating a career fair.
- Resume Clinic and Career Fair Navigation with McCree Center: On March 13, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., the McCree Center offers an exclusive session designed to enhance students’ resumes and equip them with strategies for effectively navigating career fairs. - Interview Prep and Elevator Pitch Mastery at Hunt: Students can continue their preparatory journey on March 14, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., with a session dedicated to career fair preparation in Hunt Dining Hall.

Career Week Highlights: As MBU segues into Career Week, starting March 18, a host of invaluable resources and events await:
- Clothing Closet at Spencer Residence Hall: Open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 18, this initiative provides access to professional attire, ensuring students look their best without the financial burden.
- Career Exploration Expo: Visit the Student Activities Center on March 19, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., for an expansive expo designed to broaden students’ horizons and connect them with potential career paths.
- Specialized Career Fairs: Tailored career fairs offer a more focused networking opportunity. Join MBU for the Social Work, Criminal Justice, and Education Career Fair on March 20 (1-3 p.m.), followed by the All-Programs Career Fair on March 21 (1-3 p.m.).
