The Murphy Deming Experience

The Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences is located in Fishersville, just a few miles from the historic Staunton campus. Students enrolled in our nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physician assistant programs call this state-of-the-art campus their home.

Accreditation Statements

CCNE Accreditation

The following Mary Baldwin University School of Nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (www.ccneaccreditation.org): RN to BSN, MSN/FNP and Post-MSN/FNP, RN to BSN to MSN in Administration & Leadership, MSN in Administration & Leadership, and our Doctor of Nursing Practice tracks.

The MSN/FNP Certificate track is currently seeking CCNE accreditation. The site visit is February 3-5, 2025.

Mary Baldwin University School of Nursing will be reviewed for re-accreditation February 3 – 5, 2025 by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). This will be an evaluation of its Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Post-Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certificate programs.

Interested parties may submit written comments concerning Mary Baldwin University qualifications for accreditation. Written third-party comments will be received by CCNE until 21 days before the accreditation visit. All comments must be received by CCNE no later than January 13, 2025.

All third-party comments submitted to the CCNE must be written in English, consistent with CCNE’s policy on Conduct of Business in English. Only author-identified (signed) comments will be accepted by CCNE. CCNE shares third-party comments with members of the evaluation team but does not share the comments with the program during the review process. During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments, if any, that relate to accreditation standards.
