Power Up Network

The Power Up Network is a culturally relevant professional training program, open to all male students at MBU.

It seeks to empower young men to explore African American culture, and succeed in their academic and professional lives. While this program focuses on specific cultural experiences, all students are welcome and encouraged to participate, irrespective of their background.

About Us

The Power Up Network will promote success by preparing members for careers while addressing their unique experiences and challenges.

The program’s goals include:

  • Elevate members into leadership roles on and off campus
  • Promote engagement in community service
  • Provide individualized mentorship to clarify choices about career options
  • Establish connections to diverse social networks that may facilitate post-graduate employment
  • Prepare members to secure paid internships to earn income while they gain skills
