Assistant/Associate Professor – Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program
Position Description
Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences at Mary Baldwin University invites applications for a 12-month full-time, renewable (Clinical Pathway) Physician Assistant Faculty position beginning in August 2025.
The Physician Assistant (MSPA) Program is fully accredited, and the dynamic faculty teaches within a unique interprofessional curriculum. We invite individuals with exceptional skills and experience in contemporary medical practice, teaching, and administration to apply.
Primary responsibilities include guiding students through the PA program through teaching, advising, and mentorship. Teaching load will be determined according to expertise and program/ college needs. Candidates should be dynamic and dedicated educators who will facilitate classroom and applied learning activities while fostering an inclusive and caring learning environment. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, university, community, and professional service, and supporting the interprofessional education curriculum.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree required, earned doctorate in related field preferred.
Must possess an unencumbered PA, NP, DO, or MD license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant
Strong communication, teamwork, & interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior teaching experience is preferred, but not required
