Part-Time Faculty Nurse Anesthesiology Program (Assistant/Assoc.)
Position Description
Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences at Mary Baldwin University invites applications for a 12-month, part-time (assistant/assoc.) faculty member in the Nurse Anesthesiology Program for the School of Nursing, beginning in August 2025.
This position is responsible for teaching, scholarship, and service at 50% workload to meet the didactic, research and/or clinical needs of the DNP Nurse anesthesiology program. Teaching responsibilities include content within the discipline or discipline areas in which the faculty
has specific education, training, certification and/or contemporary expertise. Required Qualifications
- Candidates must have an earned Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP), or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree and be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and be an Anesthesiologist.
- Should have at least 3 years of clinical practice experience.
- Commitment to learner-centered education, innovative educational models, and readiness to participate in interprofessional educational opportunities.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prior didactic teaching experience. Teaching experience in a nurse anesthesiology program is preferred.
- Experience with, or understanding of, online educational learning and teaching including use of learning technologies.
- Experience with simulation technology and curriculum development for simulation experiences.
