Helpful Links/Information
The Mary Baldwin University community of faculty, staff, students, alumni, friends and supporters celebrated a momentous and historic occasion in our institutional history as we inaugurated President Jeffrey P. Stein on Friday, October 18, 2024.
The MBU presidential inauguration marked the formal admission of Dr. Stein to the Office of President for the institution. Inaugurations are rare milestones in Mary Baldwin’s history, and are conducted at a formal ceremony held on campus.
The official Inauguration Ceremony was held during Homecoming Weekend 2024 (October 17-20) in order to provide alumni with an opportunity to participate in this momentous occasion.
At President Stein’s inauguration, we highlighted Mary Baldwin’s past, present, and future. From events like the Student Arts Showcase, our Archival Exhibit, programs with the American Shakespeare Center and other partners, our Academic Symposium, and more, we aimed to highlight the very best of our community.
In addition, MBU used this joyous occasion to unite Squirrels around the world; bring together the leaders in our community; representatives from national and global institutions of higher learning; and spark pride in our students, faculty, staff, alumni and greater community.
