Mary Baldwin University announces new ‘Elevate MBU’ strategic plan (WHSV-TV3)

Mary Baldwin University announced its strategic plan for the next five years, called Elevate MBU.

The plan was approved about a month ago, and was announced at the inauguration of MBU President Jeff Stein.

“This plan is designed … to elevate diverse leaders of tomorrow through student-centered and career-aligned pathways that are deeply rooted in the essential skills of a liberal arts education,” Stein said.

It was 16 months ago that Jeffrey Stein officially became president of Mary Baldwin University. Two weeks ago the school held the inauguration of Stein during the school’s homecoming celebration, giving alumni a chance to return to Staunton for the occasion.

Mary Baldwin University held its Presidential Inauguration for Jeffrey Stein on Friday. This is the 10th inauguration for the university, and the last inauguration was 20 years ago.

Dr. Stein joined 6th District Congressman Ben Cline (R) in Buena Vista Monday, as he held his annual higher education roundtable at Southern Virginia University. The presidents of Blue Ridge Community College, Radford University, Roanoke College, Southern Virginia University, and Washington and Lee University also attended.
