Here are the latest scholarly achievements from the School of Arts, Humanities, and Renaissance Studies and the School of Science.

Paul Callo, associate professor of biology
A paper, “Prolonged Spring Migration in the Red-eyed Vireo,” accepted for publication in the April issue of The Auk, an international journal of ornithology, presents the first description of the complete migratory pathway of the Red-eyed Vireo (a bird species found in a forest near you), in collaboration with colleagues at the Smithsonian Institution and York University in Toronto.
Kristen Egan, assistant professor of English
An invited guest, BackStory with the American History Guys, a public radio program that airs on more than 100 public radio stations in 38 states, the episode “Rinse and Repeat: Cleanliness in America” aired locally on WMRA February 17.
Sarah Kennedy, professor of English
Poems from her book The Gold Thread featured on Verse Daily, January 25, and Poetry Daily, February 16.
Paul Menzer, director of the MLitt/MFA Program in Shakespeare and Performance
Awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities long-term fellowship to the Folger Shakespeare Library for 2013–14 to research a project tentatively called “Shakespeare, Anecdotally.”
