Alumni Chapters Celebrate Apple Day

Apple Day goes far beyond the borders of MBU’s campus, as groups of alumni take a moment to reminisce about their college experience and celebrate the university. This year, the Office of Alumni Engagement added a special touch to Apple Day gatherings in Staunton and Richmond, reproducing Apple Day pictures from the class yearbooks of those alumni in attendance.

“Each of these events included a broad brushstroke of graduating years, and it is always incredible to watch an alum from the class of 1951 connecting with an alum from the class of 2015,” said Amy Davenport, associate director of alumni engagement.

RVAMBU chapter’s social hour was held at Blue Bee Cider where enjoying craft hard ciders on the outdoor patio fit perfectly into the Apple Day theme. Clair Carter Bell ’76 co-hosted the SAWMBU celebration at the Alumnae House, which featured conversation and apple-themed refreshments.
