Katherine “Kat” Wilford, PT, DPT, ScD

Associate Professor – PT Program

Dr. Katherine Wilford joined Mary Baldwin University in August 2023 with over seven years of teaching experience and 14 years of clinical experience. She earned her BS from Colorado State University and her DPT from Boston University. After moving to Austin, Texas, she earned her ScD from Texas Tech University Health Sciences where she explored the correspondence between sociocultural factors and sensorimotor control. She became a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy in 2016. Dr. Wilford has spoken at national and international conferences on topics related to teaching and learning as well as musculoskeletal content. She currently teaches the kinesiology and biomechanics courses and serves as the coordinator for the doctoral project series of courses.
