Liesel Nowak Crosier
Liesel Nowak Crosier serves as Vice President of Integrated Communication at Mary Baldwin University, where she has been instrumental in shaping the university’s communication strategy, ensuring consistent messaging and effectively promoting the MBU story to both internal and external audiences.
Liesel oversees emergency communication and also manages the university’s public perception, liaising with local residents, municipal leaders, and various civic groups. She also serves on the Staunton Downtown Development Association Board of Directors. Before joining MBU in 2009, Liesel worked in public relations at the Thomas Jefferson Foundation/Monticello in Charlottesville.
After earning a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from The University of Georgia, Liesel began her professional career as a journalist, covering diverse areas such as local government, education, and law enforcement and, for many years, providing in-depth coverage of complex legal matters in state and federal court.
